Cobb officials list their biggest water users
Along with the now-famous Chris George Carlos, Cobb County has named 10 more major water users. While most of these people still use an awful lot of water, they’ve all cut their usage in the last month or so.
The list:
- Clearwater Development Group (Charles P. Beall)
- Chimney Heights
- Theodore Brand
- Timber Ridge Road
- John Stephenson
- Paper Mill Road
- Charles Carpenter
- Bullard Road
- Karen O’Riordan
- Atlanta Country Club Drive
- Melanie Willcutts
- Little Willeo Road
- Scott Weiss
- Green River Court
- Scott Smith
- Paper Mill Road
- Edward Himot
- Paper Mill Road
- Evan Demestihas
- Knight Road
- Chris G. Carlos
- Thunderbird Drive
I’d like to plot these addresses in Google Earth (mostly for the sake of curiosity) in a similar manner to the map on the page, but none have the full address listed. I looked up a few of them, but came up empty.
If you can find any of the addresses, leave them in the comments and we’ll see if we can put together a nice map.

I should mention - we already have Chris George Carlos from the previous story: 4131 Thunderbird Drive.

You’re telling me there’s a bigger individual user than Chris George? Who is this Theodore Brande character?

Yeah, we had a leak suddenly appear overnight in our underground sprinkler system in the fall of 2006, and even though we caught it within several hours (we didn’t realize what had happened until we got up that morning) it still resulted in a very large puddle and our water usage skyrocketing from 3,000 gallons per month to over 15,000.
Of course, our sprinkler system is completely shut off now, so that can’t happen again. But that’s just a little 3-zone system watering roughly 0.2 acres of our 0.4 acre lot. Not a very big pipe.

Interesting how there are three people on Paper Mill Road on this list. All information found via whitepages.com. Couldn’t find Charles Carpenter or Clearwater Development Group (Charles P. Beall). Here’s a link to a map of the ones I could find (zoom out once to see all 8):

I don’t see why their water isn’t cut off completely. If they have such disregard for other people in the area that they will abuse water in the shortage, they (in my opinion) have giving up their rights to the water.

I accidentally had Paper Mill spelled as one word on one of the addresses so it wouldn’t map correctly on Evan’s map. When you change Papermill to Paper Mill it works.

It is wealthy democrats that are using all the water. You know, they have these partys with ice sculptures and flying around to their global warming meetings, most of them are lawyers, entertainers, politicians, that is people that don’t do any honest work. Check these names against the voter registration logs!

That’s an interesting trheory that bills has, but it doesn’t seem to have any basis in reality. I checked the addresses against the FEC donor database. Didn’t find any of those addresses, but the four zip codes 30066, 67, 67, 127 tend to go 60/40 for Republicans, at least as far as donations go. I’m not able to get at my voter db right now, but I’d be willing to bet that if you looked up the precincts involved, they all probably went heavily Bush in the last election.
Please, if you’ve got real empirical data instead of spittle flecked rage, let us in on your research.
