The last prayer vigil brought lots of rain - will this one?
The AJC has a story about the last governor-led prayer vigil held back in 1986. As that service ended, it rained a little bit. The next week it started raining and it kept going for a few weeks.
It was speculated that they planned the prayer vigil for today because it looked like rain for tomorrow. However, that forecast is gone now — Accuweather.com doesn’t expect rain for about two weeks, while Weather.com doesn’t expect rain until late this weekend (even then, just “a few showers”).
If nothing else, hopefully this vigil will get people to think more about the water we already have and look for ways to conserve even more.

Can’t believe people still use prayer as a basis for managing resources.

I wonder what the reaction of the people praying for rain would be to a Native American rain dance?
