Douglas County isn’t playing around
Douglas county has just toughened up their rules for water violations — first-time offenders get their water cut-off immediately - good move! It’s a $25 fee to get reconnected. Second-time offenses are a $350 fine and the third offense is a $1,000 fine.
The policy went into effect on Monday night. By Wednesday morning they had already cut off 15 customers. I see no reason why this shouldn’t be a policy for the entire Atlanta region. If things get worse, I imagine it will soon.
