Rain coming in the next few days

There’s some uncertainty about how much rain we’ll be getting, but it looks almost certain that we’ll get at least a little.

The AJC is expecting heavy rain for tonight, while Accuweather is predicting the following rain totals (none of which I’d consider “heavy”):

Tonight: 0.13 inches
Thursday: 0.12 inches
Thursday night: 0.22 inches
Friday: 0.07 inches
Friday night: 0.05 inches
TOTAL: 0.59 inches

So, maybe a half-inch of rain over the next few days.  Not great, but every little bit will help.

It’s my understanding that the “3-4 months worth of water left” estimates are based on zero rain, so anything we get will extend that timeframe a little bit.   The longer we can extend it, the more likely we’ll be to get into a rainy period and put this all behind us for a while.
